I know that the booking regulations for DVC have changed since the last time we went to AKV. Please could someone tell me when and how to go about booking the following reservation thanks in advance

2 bed standard 17th Oct 2010 - 29th Oct 2010

I know I want to phone on 17th November 2009 but how many nights will I be able to book at that point? It used to be phone each day but I know that chancged. Can I now book the whole stay or just a week?

On November 17 you will be able to reserve the first 7 nights of our stay. You will be able to add additional nights with daily calls - or wait until the 22nd and reserve those last 5 nights with one call.

Good luck! :)

Thanks :)

How difficult is it to then link these reservations to make one continuous booking rather than having to move rooms.

Do you think this will be fairly easy to book as it is traditionally low (value) season?

It will all be one reservation - since you will simply be adding nights to the original 7 day reservation. You will not need to move. I'd even let MS know of your plan with the first call so they can just send out one confirmation when you have completed making the entire reservation. If you are making the reservation from multiple contracts they would need to link the individual reservations together, but if all are from one contract it will all be one reservation.

"Value" season for WDW does not always coincide with low seasons at DVC resorts - especially if the villa you are wanting is in short supply. October will be Food&Wine and standard views at AKV are not plentiful, so I would not assume availability will be easy, but if you call at 11 months and get the first 7 nights and then daily to add the other 5 nights you will have no problem at all since no one can reserve those last 5 nights until days later than you. Getting the first week is the biggest challenge you will face and you should be fine there.

Enjoy! :)

Not hard at all. Just tell MS when you call each day that you are adding to an existing reservation. MS will automatically modify your original reservation each day. When you are done, the resort will see it as one continuous reservation.

You won't have any trouble at all getting your reservation. You are calling at 11 months. :)
