Booking WDW through Air Miles....have you ever?

Hoping to take advantage of "free dining" and booking on Wednesday. Have you booked through air miles? I spoke to an air miles travel agent, she informed me it would be a $200 deposit and full payment 60 days prior to departure.
Would you happens to know ....
If we need to change the dates are they flexible?
If we need to cancel do we loose deposit?

Of course I thought of these questions after I spoke to the TA. I did however learn when cashing in air miles the formula is .135 x air miles amount gives you the cash value to be placed towards your trip.

Interesting. I never knew about that formula before. I wonder how long they've been using that formula. We used about 17000 airmiles four years ago to book our trip. It worked out to be about $2300 off our total price, so on par with your formula now.

Anyways, I'm not sure about deadlines because our trip was a last minute trip so we paid in full right away. We had a good experience using them though.

We went twice using Airmiles for our flights. The first time my wife and youngest daughter were not able to make it. I called Airmiles over a month before the flight and explained the situation to them. Even though we bought the insurance we lost everything on their flights. The Airmiles, the taxes the fees everything. We got nothing back from Airmiles or United.

The next time just my oldest daughter and I went and it went smooth.

A friend of mine used his Airmiles for the flights and park tickets for all five in his family and had the time of their life.
