Booking travel outside of DVC resorts

I have a question, I know that you can't book and travel in the last four months of your use year outside of the DVC resorts with a few exceptions, now the questions is can you book within the last 4 months using the next use years points. I have a Feb use year, can I book say a stay at a different hotel for say Nov 08 using 09 use year points? Thanks

Rule of Four
You cannot book and travel on The Disney Collection, (excluding Disneyland© Resort Hotels in California), Concierge Collection and Adventurer Collection vacations within the last 4 months of your Use Year. However, you can travel in the last 4 months of your Use Year as long as you've booked your stay more than 4 months before the end of your Use Year.

You can travel in the last four months of your UY, you just need to book it prior to the four month cut-off date.

Only if you call to make the reservation at least 4 months and 1 day before the end of the use year in which the vacation dates fall.

Again, it's not the use year of the points that matters. It's when you call to make the non-DVC reservation. For example, if you want to stay at the Grand Floridian on points in November 2008, you can do so. With a February use year, you just have to make the reservation on or before September 30, 2008. It doesn't matter if you use 2008 use year points or borrow 2009 use year points for the reservation.
