Booking Tours - Do we need the AP at the time of booking?

Hello everyone!

We are going to book a few tours for our upcoming trip. We will be purchasing AP's for our trip but we haven't bought them yet. At WDW we usually pay full price at the time of booking the tours and receive a refund of the difference at the time of the tour when we present our AP's. Is that the case at Disneyland?

I would call to check if I were you. We had our APs when we booked a tour and got the discounted rate. You also get it with the Disney Visa card and if you are DVC members.

However, when we showed up for our tour the tour guide didn't appear to do any form of payment transaction with anyone - perhaps that is something you'd have to do at City Hall before or immediately after your tour? That is why I'd call.

I was considering getting an AP last trip. I booked 2 tours and asked if they would give me the AP price when I booked and they would not allow it, even if I promised to show my pass when I checked in.

Thank you. That is what happens at WDW so I was hopeful they would do the same thing at DL. We want to book soon to ensure we can do the tours but won't have the AP's until arrival. Thank you!
