Booking time frame

Could anyone answer a quick question. If booking out 11 months, lets say holiday time where it's really busy, Can you book out 11 months from your arrival date or is it 11 months from your departure date? In other words if I'm staying for a week do I have to wait until its 11 months from the check out date or can I book out exactly 11 months to the day of my check in? it may be a matter of only a few days but I'm starting to get the idea that during certain times of the year it's best to act as fast as possible. It would be 11 months from departure date, unless you choose to book day by day for each night stay. This is advisable for high season times such as Christmas and New Year's Eve.

Rule is you can reserve 11 months from date of departure from DVC resort.

But you can do day by day ressies. Assume you want to go go Dec 25 to Jan 1. Call Jan 26 11 months in advance of a Dec 26 date of departure and book night of Dec 25. Call Jan 27 and book night of Dec 26, etc. When you start just tell them you are doing day by day reserving and will be calling daily until done and that you want all nights linked once you are done so it becomes one reservation.
