Booking thru DREAMS UNLIMITED

OK...I know they are sponsoring this board. We are wondering if anyone here has booked a Disney Cruise thru Dreams Unlimited? They are offering cash back if we book thru them....which is more than what Disney is offering us.

We are a little leary of booking thru the internet with a company we have not heard of before. Please let us know your experiences with booking. Thanks.

I booked our 1st DCL trip with a local TA and the 2nd through DU. DU has by far exceeded my expections. They are professional and Donna is great. She answered all my repeat questions quickly. I will definately be booking all my DCL cruises through DU. You will find many others feel the same.

I booked my last cruise through Dreams and I was extremely pleased with the service! It is very convenient for me to do this via online as I received my answers quickly, and I could check for them when I logged on. It is difficult to reach me via phone when I am working, so this was perfect! I highly recommend them.

We book all our trips through Dreams...we have our 8 Disney cruises for the remainder of 2002 booked through them, and we use them for WDW as well. It's nice to book with fellow Disney fanatics! We also love the rebates too.

We were also very nervous about booking our cruise through an internet company. We did book our last cruise through Dreams Unlimited and I can't say enough about how wonderful we were treated. We have a special needs son and we had a lot of things that we needed aboard ship. Our agents (Sonja and Cathy) at Dreams gave 110% to make sure everything was taken care of for us!!! Anytime I had a question (there were lots) they emailed me back within 24 hours (usually 5 to 6 hours). I had the pleasure of talking to Cathy a few times on the phone and she was so wonderful and so helpful. We just booked our second Disney Cruise/Park trip through Dreams and we are very excited about working with them again. WE had origianally booked the first trip through AAA but Dreams saved us $ and the service was much, much better. Good luck!!!

I was also nervous about "booking over the internet". I also called and spoke directly with Donna on the phone, and this eased my mind. They were wonderful! We plan on cruising again in 2003 and I will definitely use Dreams again, no questions asked!! In fact, I booked 90% of our trip over the internet...airline tickets, Raddison at the Port, rental car and Tiffany Towncar! The whole trip went extremely smooth...no problems. Dreams is the Best!!!

We've booked through Dreams Unlimited twice, once for a WDW land vacation, and once for our cruise next year. I feel more comfortable booking through Dreams than through another travel agent. Even though Dreams is primarily an "internet" company, they are easy to get in touch with and they respond to questions via email very quickly. There is also a number to call to talk to a "live" person if needed, which we called to put down our deposit. But email is a very convenient way to communicate. They will go above and beyond to assist you in any way possible in planning your trip and answering questions, and the agents are all very friendly. They specialize in Disney travel so their knowledge of Disney exceeds that of most travel agents. Plus they are Disney "fanatics", just like us!!

Also, after booking, Dreams will continue to look for a better rate for your cruise. If a special promotion comes out that will reduce your rate, they will contact you via email to tell you that you are eligible for the new discounted rate and reprice your cruise for you!!! Talk about customer service!!! I hope you give them a try. They are truly first-rate!!

I booled my 1st and 2nd cruise directly through DCL- I got nothing special or extra and everytime I called with a question I would get another CM who would give me a different answer! They also do not give you much less notify you if DCL runs a special for which you qualify. On my 2nd cruise I met Pete, Michelle, and Cathy- they were so gracious and it was really neat putting a face with the name. I have booked through DU for my 3rd and 4th cruises and I have great success getting my questions answered CORRECTLY and in a timely manner. Not only do they offer a rebate and sometimes an onboard credit but they give everyone this great board that I must tell you IMO is the best DCL board anywhere. You can call DCL and they can't answer questions as accurately as this board! Put your fears to rest- DU is the way to go.

We have two trips booked through Dreams; a trip to Disneyland this February and a 4-day cruise in May. They have been great!
When Disney dropped the cruise prices I didn't even have to ask Dreams just lowered the price for us.

I asked basically the same question you did on this board, and got many responses of nothing but good. So, I too have booked my 2002 and 2003 cruise with them. I'm leaving in 21 days, and everything went very smooth. I couldn't be happier! My emails were answered almost immediately, and Donna was extremely friendly and helpful with all my questions.


I say go for it!

I just used DU to book my second cruise and they've been nothing but patient with me, trying to get just the right stateroom! (And I don't cruise for another 11 months!)

I just got my documents this week and I e-mailed DU to tell them how happy I was with their service.

They quoted me quickly via email and went greath lengths to contact me when a huge discount was offered during my vacation time. I saved a LOT of money by booking through them. I'm not sure if that discount would have been given to me by Disney if I had booked through them.

I suppose if I had heard about the discounts through these boards I could've called Disney but in my busy day to day activities, it could've been overlooked and, thanks but I'd rather have $300 in my pocket than in Disney's. I'm sure it'll end up at Disney in the long run at shutters or at the bar but I will get some enjoyment from it.

It doesn't hurt to call and compare. But I would use DU again....

Oops, that's what I forgot to mention in my earlier post under my hubby's ID...the last poster reminded me. Dreams is GREAT about watching the rates and changing your reservation if there is a drop. We saved over $800 on our May cruise that way, plus a total of over $600 for our fall cruises. They do this automatically so you can always be sure that you are getting the best deal. Whenever people email me at my website, I always recommend DU.

Thank you to all who responded to this to tell me how great Dreams Unlimited were for you. I have been communitating thru e-mail with Vicki about it and she has been GREAT!

Dreams Unlimited is still a little bit more (it is not going to be much) than the lowest quote I got from another online company, but it seems that Dreams can offer better service.

The other online company is too big to check if rates have gone down or if we have gotten an upgrade, etc. I would have to do all that work on my own. From what I have learned, Dreams Unlimited will do that for us and lock in the price, too.

So....I am going to tell Vicki that we are going with DREAMS U!
We are soooo excited!

All we need now is our down payment to hold everything!

This is for June 2003, but it will be here before we know it!

If it weren't for all you who recommended Dreams, and for Vicki's personal service so far, we would not be booking thru them! THANK YOU!

We are booking for June 14, 2003! It is for our 14th wedding anniversary (which is June 24th). This just happens to be the week my sister can take the kids with her so we can have childcare!
