I checked prices at both Loews and UniversalOrlando.com. It doesn't make sense, but Universal's site shows that you can stay 4 nights and get two park passes for free. When I go through their vacation planning website it comes out to almost $1900 for 4 nites with the passes each at $102. That works out to about $400 per night!

Is it just too early in the morning and I'm brain dead? I can book the hotel directly through Loews with no discounts for $300/night and get the tickets separately for $95 each...

Its been my experience that those "packages" are always more expensive than what you can do on your own. I got the Entertainment rate for $119 from 8/29 to 9/1 and got the MC deal 5 for 4 on the tickets (the tics come out to $78 pp and they are good for 5 days). :p Good luck.

the MC deal is the Mastercard deal.

you get 5 "2+5 day passes" for the price of 4. (you get basically a 7 day pass for 5 people for the price of 4). You need to use a MC in order to get the deal.
Mousesavers.com has the link to take you to the online page for ordering. (under other theme parks-universal studios)

I took advantage of this deal and got my tickets mailed to me...this was a great deal for us because we plan to spend at least 5 days at the park and I have 5 in my family. I think the total cost for all tickets was about $400 with taxes/shipping.

hope this helps
