Booking through a TA...

Last time my DH and I went to WDW in Dec. 2005, we used Small World Vacations, we liked it, they immediately got us a discount and applied it, and everything turned out wonderfully! Since then I have read EVERYTHING on the DIS, I subscribe to Mousesavers for discount updates, and visit the WDW site often. I have even gotten emails with pin numbers for great rates.

Am I better off booking everything myself, or still using a TA?? What is everyone's opinion?? If I get a pin code do the TA's know it's attached to my name as a WDW person does when I would book??? We are hoping to book a vacation for this January, I would like to do it this weekend, for my son's first trip!! He will be just 2!!!

Your thoughts would be appreciated!!

how do u get pin codes,I have been 8 times in 2 yrs all on property and never get a pin code, rats..........

Last trip did it on our own, this trip we are using a fantastic TA I met on this board. She is making the whole planning process alot easier. She also applied discount ASAP (Before I knew it was out). So far -everything is simpler for me -- she's taking care of package, tickets for MVMCP, appointment at BBB, etc. -- she's even made ADRS for sister and BIL who are not going through her but traveling with us. This time we have ADRs for everyday, last time we winged it. This is the first time I have ever used a TA for anything, quite pleasant not worrying about ADRS -- and I got everyone we wanted.

BTW, you are going at a perfect time for child. We last went when youngest was 20 months -- wonderful wonderful wonderful.

I am very faithful to my TA She has always taken care of us. She gets a little annoyed with me from time to time when I email her with "I heard ... on the DIS" - but she's GREAT!

Speaking as a TA myself if you have a pin your agent should be able to apply it, just give her the number. When Disney comes out with all these promos like free dining, etc. they make it pretty easy for us to just call have convert current bookings to reflect the specials. I know Disney is pretty easy to book online but a good TA is sort of a dying breed. Everything is going the way of the computer and true gold old fashioned customer service is hard to find!

I have never booked my travels through a TA.. I always book directly
