I'm a AKV owner (Kidani) with an Oct UY. I can only use my 2008 pts for stays beyond May 2009.
We're tentatively planning a trip for Nov 2009. As we're not planning any other trips for 2008, we'd have to bank our 2008 points. For the Nov 2009 trip I was planning on booking AKV at the 11-month mark for a Savannah view Sun-Fri stay (165 poitns) and then try to switch to a VWL or BCV at the 7-month mark hopefully.
If we get a stay at VWL or BCV for the same dates, the point total would be 160 points (as opposed to the 165 required to book AKV at the 11-month mark).
My question is: if the initial AKV reservation was made using banked points, but then we switch to a VWL or BCV reservation at the 7-month mark (which is less points), would the difference be considered holding points?
I know that 5 points isn't a lot to be concerned about, but just trying to figure out how the points would work when a reservation is switched.
Thanks in advance
