Booking restaurants tomorrow - when would you go where?

I am ringing up to book our restaurants tomorrow!

We get there about 7pm on Friday night and leave about 6pm Sunday night. We have a cake booked for our DD's birthday surprise, it is her birthday on the Thursday.

We are going to be booking Cafe Mickey and Auberge. Which do you suggest for the birthday cake (or is it worth getting a cake in both?!) and when would you eat at CM and Auberge?

Saturday Lunch
Saturday around 6pm
Sunday Lunch

I was thinking Cafe Mickey Saturday lunchtime as a bit of a break for our DD, and Auberge on Sunday lunch. But then I am thinking it would be best to go to CM after the park closes on Saturday (7pm) but she might be too tired by then. Or Auberge on Saturday so we know which princesses to try to track down on Sunday! Also, any suggestions of the best times, and places to request to sit!

Too many options. And we need somewhere to eat on the Friday night when we get there! DD may well be asleep in her buggy at that point, we were going to take her to Rainforest Cafe as she would LOVE that - but not sure!

We ate at both Cafe Mickey and Auberge, so I say eat at both. For the b-day cake I saw them delivered at both and I would choose Cafe Mickey. It's a lot more festive there, the music is pretty loud by my dd (age 4) and the other kids seemed to really enjoy it.

We had reservations for Cafe Mickey at 6:15, we showed up a bit early and were seated right away. The restaurant was only about 1/2 full when we got there so we got a lot of character interaction. I wouldn't wait until after 7 to go to eat with a 3 year old, my dd is just 4 and 6 was perfect for her. Plus lots of people are still in the parks so the restaurants aren't as crowded.

Auberge we had reservations for 12 (when they open) and without asking we were set in the room with the fireplace. It is definitely the best room by far, not crowded and it is where the prince/princess perform the dance. Perla also led a dance for the little girls, which they all loved. So I would ask to be seated in this room if possible.

As far as meeting the other princesses, the only time we saw princesses was at Auberge and in the Parade. We considered standing in line for 45 min at the princess pavillion, but didn't want to wait that long to possibly meet a princess we had already met. I wish they would let you know who you were standing in line to meet.

I don't know about Rainforest Cafe, we didn't eat there, but the Tandoori Curry Chicken at King Ludwig's was really good.

I am thinking we should do Cafe mickey at lunchtime too, and go somewhere counter service for later on incase DD is too tired by then to fully enjoy it!
