Booking restaurants ahead (and related query about Blue Lagoon)

Could I book restaurants now for October?

Also, when you book ahead for Blue Lagoon, can you book a table by the water or do you just have to take what they give you? My experience of that restaurant is that you go for the setting, not the food - and it would be so disappointing to be shoved right at the back like we were last time.

far as i know its pot luck.first time we were right by the water,second time we were at the back. i suppose you could say your prepared to wait for a waterside table but the service in there is not the quickest so you may be there quite some time!

I don't think you can ask in advance - we asked when we arrived and were lucky enough to get one, otherwise you could be prepared to wait I guess. It's so dark though that you really can't see very much on the water.

I don't think you can specify a table when you reserve, but there's no harm in asking when you arrive. They obliged us (party of 7) with a table "on the beach" on arrival and the children really enjoyed waving to the riders of POTC.

You would not be able to book your tables now for a trip in October.

Reservations can be made 60 days in advance. As for the water table at Blue Lagoon, if you really want one you need to ask when you check in. But like others have said the place isn't known for its quick service so you might be in for a bit of a wait!
