What do you think I should do? My friend's wedding is in Disney World beginning of November. I dilly dallied for a couple of weeks because I thought I had time to book my room in my home resort (POLY) but apparently, wrong move! The week I'm going booked up faster than the other weeks... so my friend is all yea, that's marathon time. Whoops! So I called and booked my first 2 nights Lake View and one night is still unaccounted for and the last night Standard. I have 2 waitlist going for that one night Standard or the whole 4 nights Standard. How possible is it that I will get the whole 4 nights Standard?? Because If not at all, maybe I should change that waitlist to the last 2 nights Lake View... maybe that has more hope???

There’s about 5x more rooms in Poly standard, so mathematically you have a much better chance of getting a standard waitlist for a specific day.

I think standard is still in your favor comparing to add 3 standard days vs 2 Lake View.

It may take a lot of stalking to get it all in one category. Keep checking online and call some.

Good luck with your Poly reservations. The issue with early November is Jersey Week; I believe it's technically November 8-12, but most people are going to fly starting November 3rd. As mentioned, keep checking, waitlist, and perhaps at the 7mo mark, you might be able to catch a few more days when people try to move to another resort.

I also concur with the stalking-- when people give up their reservations, the system only checks a few times a day. There's a chance you can catch the rooms before they go back into the waitlist system to match. I've actually caught BLT std rooms over labor day, as well as a Jambo value studio, by stalking the website. I was even waitlisted at BLT, but the waitlist didn't catch the room in time to fill my waitlist request. I'm glad I stalked the website instead!

Good luck!

PS... the shorter the waitlist, the more likely it will get filled. I would waitlist the one standard night, and then the three standard nights. You already have one standard night booked, so it’s irrelevant to have that waitlisted.

They will link the reservations together if you have multiple reservation numbers. You just have to call.

Again, good luck!
