Okay I have read many posts and want to make sure that I have everything right before I make my reservation:

1. Call 1-407-W-DISNEY and insist on booking "room only" with a CRO representative.

2. Tell dates of stay and give AAA membership number for discount.

3. I will not be told a specific room, but can request a certain building(we're staying at ASMo).

4. If a better code comes up before we leave on our trip, I can call and they will give me the discount.

5. They will bill me for one room's charge as a deposit and the rest is due at check-in.

6. They cannot change or cancel my reservation and I am guaranteed a room when I arrive.

Do I have this all correct?? Please let me know if I am missing anything or any of this is incorrect. Thanks. Vicki

tonysgal34,

have you read about the new Fairy Tale package rates? You may want to book that instead of a room only rate... things have really changed in the past couple of days.

A discount will be applied to your room rate IF it's available for the dates and resort you have booked. This frequently works out fine, but discounts are based on availability --- it's not guaranteed. Only a certain # of rooms are available at the discount rate, not all rooms.

It can get tricky to get CRO at times. If you end up with WDWT, there's different deposit requirements and full payment is due before arrival and deposit isn't refunded if there's a cancellation within 45 days of arrival. CRO terms are MUCH more flexible.

Thanks-yes I have seen the fairytale package but it only goes to Oct and we are going in Nov.:( Anyway, that is why we're going room only for now....I did read about the differences between Cro and WDWT and plan to insist on a CRO rep or I'll try later.

Sounds good to me!

One thing to keep in mind is that discounts at AS movies are often hard to get or not even offered. If you are willing to switch, you can usually get the best deal on sports or music. I think AAA applies to all three, but sometimes codes are only for sports & music.

tonysgal34 - in that case... go for it. If codes do become available later in the year then you can just modify your ressie...
