I never saw this before but by accident I put in my check in date and then by accident put in a date 12 days forward and walaa it shows 12 days open or some opened and some closed. How could I have missed this all this time since we've had on-line booking or is this something new. I thought we could only see 7 nights from check-in date.

We've always been able to see 14 days at once if all of the dates are within the booking window / eligible to be actually reserved.

So for example, if I wanted to book at a non- home resort now for 1/1/14 - 1/15/14, I could see availability for all 14 of those nights. I can book 14 nights all at once because they are well within the non-home resort booking period.

If I wanted to book 6/2/14 - 6/16/14 at non-home resort, it would only allow me to see 6/2/14 - 6/9/14, because on 11/2/13, all I can book is 7 nights from my check-in date.

Yep, it's only been restricted to 7 days if you are right at the start of your booking window. If you're past then you've been able to look at 14 days at a time. One exception is if you are crossing a UY. Then you can only do to the last day of one UY and need to do a new search at the beginning of your UY. However if you were to call MS they could book across the UY.

This is good to know for future trips. We always stay anywhere from 9 to 12 nights and I always book right when my seven month mark opens up and it always showed the first 7 nights available and then I would call to add on the additional nights as the dates come up. I guess I'm going to have to just wait a few days past my seven month mark now so I can book all the dates together . Man, I learn something new everyday on these boards .

You need to be careful in that area. Things that are open exactly 7 months out can often disappear qiuickly and waiting a few days past your initial 7 month window just so you can do more than 7 nights at a time risks not getting the first few nights that you want.

Very true, I hadn't thought about that. It's always better to be safe then sorry .
