Booking Free Dining Question

I have a mouse counselor TA who is amazing and very on top of things, but she also has ALOT of clients. This is my first time using a TA and my first time going during a typical free dining period. (Yes I know dates are never guaranteed etc, but Im going mid September so there a good chance). So my question is, when free dining is announced would I be better off letting her handle it? Or should i try myself when the phones open. I just wonder if someone has like 20 clients they need to get it for how do I know where I might fall on the priority list. Anyone have any experience with this?

Try to do it yourself. Have her give it a go. Cancel your booking if she gets one for you.

Agree with aurora....BOTH. Tell her you want it, but be up and online when it drops and try to do it yourself too. If you end up getting it, you can transfer that booking to her and cancel all others.

There's no way I'd leave it to my TA in that situation. I would certainly not call to book, either. I would be online as that usually opens earlier (about 1.5 hours earlier last year).
