Booking FP+ for a second trip before the first trip

I'm in a (great) situation where I'm going to WDW in both Sept and Oct. I already have my Sept FP+ rezzies and will hit my 60 day window for the Oct trip in a few days. Yes I'm staying on site both trips. Will booking the FP+ rezzies at the 60 day mark go smoothly? Has anyone had two trips close like this? I also have an AP so I don't want this to somehow mess up my ability to book the second set of FP+.

Thanks!

You shouldn't have any issues. The only one I can think of would be if AP's have a limit on the number of days you are allowed to book, and your total trip days exceed that. (ie CMs have a 4 day limit on the MEP)

The only way I have been able to get around this is to also have regular tickets linked to my account (family coming to visit), and then I was able to book their length of tickets + 4, but I was still cut off after a certain point. Once the first set it used, then you are able to book another day for the future

Your AP FPs are not limited for your onsite stays. You'll be fine at the 60 day mark. The only thing that happened to me for my extra long trip was that I couldn't book FPs beyond the 75th day - but was able to add that the next day .... Once that day fell within the 75 day window. If your second trip is two weeks or less, you won't have any issues at all

That's interesting! After I posted this I decided just to go ahead and call WDW tech support. The rep didn't know the answer and escalated my call. They said I could only book 14 days of FP+ reservations at a time. For me that barely works out. But that seems lame to me. If I'm paying to stay at BC, I should be able to make FPs for every night I'm there. If I was staying just 1 day longer I'd be out of luck - if she told me right. Hopefully you are the correct one because she certainly did not give me confidence in her answer.

She's wrong. I'm sitting on 16 days of FP's right now. I booked the first 14 at the 60 day window. The next day I booked the 15th day and then the day after that I booked the 16th day.
As long as you have the onsite stay and the ticket media to cover it, you're good

That is such good news! I was sitting right at 14 days so it made me uneasy. Thank you so much!

I'm waiting to see how this is going to work out, too. We have AP, and 4 day offsite trip scheduled in Early Sept. and a 10 Day onsite trip scheduled starting on Halloween. I'm anxious to find out if I'm going to be able to schedule my 10 days of FP for Oct/Nov once I hit 40 days. I've got three of my 4 days of FP set for the Sept. trip (I can do the last day of that trip tonight at midnight). I'm really hoping that my sept. trip isn't going to mess up what I want to book for the second trip. I didn't get several of the FP I wanted for Sept. because they were gone (ToyStory and 7DMT).

Was 40 a typo? You'll have no problem booking all 10 days of your Halloween trip on September 1st - your 60 day window.

I can confirm Disney told me wrong. I was able to make 16 days total of FP+ and I'm sure could have done more if I had been staying longer. So 6 days for the first trip and 10 days for the second trip. It worked without any hiccups or other issues.
