Booking for a night before you arrive

We are headed to CCV in Feb 2024. We have 16 points that we don't really have any use for and we're considering booking the room for the night before we arrive to ensure we have a room ready when we arrive.

Our flight arrives at 10am and due to travel times, we will have been up since 3am. Getting straight to our room would be amazing.

Question though... at what point does DVC cancel the reservation? If we are booked to arrive on Feb 5 but don't show up until Feb 6, will they assume we aren't coming at all and cancel?

Thanks

If you check in on the app, they don't care if you show up to it. I did this for family members staying off site to get late hours. They never even went to OKW, just got assigned a room.

It’s been reported here that if the room door isn’t opened for two nights, the guest is considered a no-show. Many guests have travel schedules similar to yours and book the night before for the very same reason. There won’t be any problem for you to have the night before arrival booked so that you can go straight to your room.

Just let them know you are arriving the next day so they can note it on the reservation.

As long as they know, it’s no issue. The rules simply say to call MS or the resort.

I was told that if they have not been notified and no one accesses the room after the second night it is a no show.
