Booking for 2012?

Hi Everyone,
I've been looking to book in early Oct. - around the 5th, and there is no standard view rooms at the beach club at all. Is there something going on?

Yes. Any of the DVC resorts are required to block some rooms for their members up til about 6 months before dates.. Could very well be the limited cash inventory is already sold for those travel dates.

You should see plenty of availability once that window rolls by for the October timeframe.

You can call Disney reservations and ask but I'm pretty sure this is the situation you're seeing.

I think they were looking for Beach Club, not Beach Club Villas. That's the time of the Food & Wine Festival at Epcot, it's possible it's booked up because people like to be close, especially on weekends.

Edit - what dates are you looking for? I tried Oct 5 to 12 and it showed available for standard view.

We were looking at Oct 5 - 14 and it wasn't showing standard view as an option - just garden, pool/water and club level.

The lowest priced category usually goes first. Since I found the Oct 5 to 12, it's probably the 13th that is soldout for standard. That's a Saturday night and it's Food & Wine Festival time. Lots of people who leave closeby come in for weekends for Food & Wine. Gardenview is only $10 more per night.
