I just booked a cruise for December 11 and will be staying in Disney for one night after the cruise. I have never stayed at Disney without a discount of some kind. I really want to stay in Disney for the easy transportation from the cruise and then to the airport. We will not be doing any parks. I have checked every site and prices are strangely the same everywhere; AAA, southwest, expedia, kayak, orbitz...Anyone have further suggestions? i could just keep checking as i have 2 months...

It's hard to get a deal for only one night, but you can get 5% off with Orbitz code "TRAVEL5". If it makes you feel any better, you are going during a slightly cheaper time...

Maybe just stay at a moderate and pay the $200 for the night.
Yes, i have considered that too. I do enjoy staying at deluxe, but would never be able to justify the costs for more than a night or two so i try, when i can, to stay deluxe when for a short time. but those deluxe prices are hard to swallow! and we are really going to enjoy the resort more so than anything.

5% is better than nothing...i will take a look. Thanks

I agree that it is hard to believe a night in early december is without discount. I booked on ebates ($) using a cash back card ($) and a coupon from orbitz ($). It wasn't a lot but more than nothing.

The room discounts for December 2015 have come and gone (promotion expired 9/18). Orbitz with that 5% discount will probably be your best bet.

Yes, i track those discounts very closely. unfortunately or fortunately, this was a last minute trip, so i missed those discounts.:( but i do have something booked in February on the current discount!:)

Have you looked at Dolphon/Swan? They do AAA discounts so if you have that you might could get something reasonable. I don't know if Disney cruise transport goes there or not.

If you are going in December and February have you considered getting an AP? even if 1 person in your party gets one you could utilize the AP discount and get the Memory Maker. It may be worth the cost

What about renting from DVC. The DVC Rental store has a person selling DVC points for 11.00 a point but it can only be used at Saratoga Springs. I'm not sure if that will give you any savings or not.
