Booking Expedia for room & MYW & adding DDP (not Free)?

Does anyone know if it is possible to create an MYW reservation for an onsite resort with Expedia or Travelocity and then call Disney to add the dining plan at a later date? So, you would buy your room, your MYW tickets (which you are prompted to do) and then call with your reservation and ask a CM to add the DDP (I don't mean the Free DDP, but the full on, full price version)? Thanks!

No, it has to be booked as a MYW package with the DDP(this would include the room in the package as well). You cannot book the room through Expedia/Travelocity/etc...and then add the DDP with Disney directly.

But you can actually buy the MYW and Hoppers and all on Expedia after you've chosen your room and flight etc... (I changed the OP to better reflect this!). I was thinking that you would then have a confirmation number and you could call reservations to add it? No? Am I crazy? (probably)

No. In order to participate in the Disney Dining Plan, Guests must book a package that includes their room, their park ticket/s, and the Dining Plan.
Now, sometimes you can convert a room-only reservation into a package, but since the online Agencies don’t ‘sell’ the Dining Plan, it can’t be added to anything you book through them.
