If I book a disney resort like GF for a couple nights before my stay at AKLV, using my points, can I get the dining plan, and do I have to get the one day ticket to get the dining plan.(sorry be question mark key doesn`t seem to work) Does booking a disney resort with points work the sames as booking a vacation club resort. Would I pay for the dining plan at checkin like I would do at a vacation club resort. I have double developer points and looking at ways to kind of waste them. lol. GF would take alot of the points.

I might be wrong. But, I don't believe booking the Disney collection with points is eligible for the dining plan at all. Iknow I've seen this come up before and I don't recall the rationale behind it. Let's see if someone else has more and better info. :surfweb:

DVC negotiated the right for members to purchase the Disney Dining Plan when they stay on points at DVC resorts. They did not negotiate that right for members using points in other ways. So if you want the DDP for a stay at the GF, you'll have to pay rack rate and purchase a ticket as part of the package.

CapeCod Family is correct. Members who book one of the non-DVC WDW resorts using points cannot add the Dining Plan to the reservation.

The only way to get the Dining Plan at the GF (or any other non-DVC resort) is to purchase a package for cash through CRO/WDWTC. That means a minimum stay, paying rack rates for lodging and buying at least a one day base ticket.
