How far in advance should I book DC? How far out should we book the dolphin swim?
Thanks

Whenever you have your travel dates set. Unless they release a promotion for your time period (at which point you could just cancel and rebook under the promo rates), generally speaking costs will only increase, not decrease, as time goes on.

You can't book a time for the dolphin swim .... that's assigned when you check in on the day of your reservation.

I knew we were going to Orlando the week of Memorial Day probably 9 months ahead of time. I signed up for email notifications of promotions from DC's website then. I just kept an eye out for offers and they ran a "sale" in December if memory serves me correctly. For our group of 6 I think we saved about $400 from the rack rates at the time. And like Gina said, the price has only slowly increased since then.

I was hesitant to book a specific day so far out in advance, but the person on the phone said that if something comes up between now and our reserved date, as long as we call them at least 24 hours in advance they would move my day one time without any charge. I think they charge $50 if you want them to change your reservation a second time?

A lot depends on the time of year you are going. We are going in the height of summer so booked our DC day when we had our dates confirmed and villa booked. Like the others have said you can't book the dolphin encounter but the earlier you arrive at the park, the earlier your encounter will be.
