Hi,

we're looking at booking for Feb and I'm comparing the prices of booking everything with disney (hotel, tickets and eurostar) or booking eurostar with eurostar and hotel+tickets with Disney.

For the same package we would save about £200 by booking them separately.

Does anyone know if there is any advantage of booking the eurostar via the disney website?

Thanks in advance.

There's no advantage really.

You do get disney express (means you can leave your luggage at the station and go straight into the parks rather than via your hotel when you arrive)

But you can pay that for like £12 a bag - so unless you travel REALLY heavy - definitely go separate!

We all do! :)

As far as I can tell there is no plus to it other than that it's then something that Disney would have to sort out if there was a problem with any part of your holiday as it's then a package holiday. If you book it seperatly then its up to you to sort any problems out.

It's really not worth the extra money.

thank you both. Separate it is and the spare cash towards a nice meal and drink (well worth carrying the bags for!)

My thoughts exactly! :)

I also really enjoy checking into my hotel ASAp - even if I can't get the room its nice to get there. :)

Where will you stay?

i agree its not worth the extra. i would book them separately

Unless you have children who qualify for the free Eurostar offer. :confused3

I was wondering how a lot of you manage to go so often, its obvious im going wrong booking it all through Disney ;)

Occasionally it does work out cheaper going direct through Disney, but very rarely. Its always worth double checking both options.

Disney get some cheap seats to sell on, so if they have some of them left when you're booking and all Eurostar are offering are expensive seats, it is usually a bit cheaper :)

True, my wife is the same! Wants to check out the hotel! We're staying at Hotel New York, on our last stay we stayed at Disneyland Hotel because it had always been her dream so this time it's my choice!

Did you book it seperately in the end?

I have done ours seperately this time, it would have been £610 through a package, doing seperately it was £518.

Yes, we did, the hotel with disney and train with eurostar, can't believe the price difference of booking them seperate!

95 % of the time it is much much cheaper to book your hotel and passes package with Disneyland direct and book your Eurostar online seperately. Disney make huge profits from the packages where travel is included.

There is no real advantage to booking Eurostar with Disney, even if there was a problem Disney would direct you to Eurostar customer services just as you would do if you booked seperately.

The Disney Express service is inlcuded in a Disney package, but not many people are that fussed, Ive never used it! If you really want it it's £15 per adult (free for all kids under 12) - Eurostar will add it on for you.

When you book your Euro* seats speerately you can ask what seats you have been allocated, ask to change them, try and get you all seating as you wish, round a table etc.

Same goes for flights by the way. Disney make more profit out of bookings with flights included than any other package. They use Air France for flights and VEA transfers. So book your hotel and passes on Disney website then go to airfrance and Vea and book your flights and transfers. Almost gaurenteed to save £££'s. Or use www.skyscanner.co.uk to find low cost airlines (like EasyJet - Bmibaby etc) who have cheaper flights than AirFrance.
