Booking dining

Hi, Hopeing someone can help me with some dinning questions. We wish to book a WOC package at Ariel's. Do I book a time on the app and its automatically a WOC package at dinner do do I need to book on the website? Is it normal for the App to show days available before they appear on the website?
Second was we were hoping tl book dinner at rainforest cafe but it's only showing availability and menus for lunch. Is it not open for dinner? Thx for any help.

Personally I usually call Disney Dining to make sure. I'm just old school and feel better talking to someone.

Rainforest is definitely open for dinner, we eat there quite often for breakfast and dinner. But we usually just walk up, put our names in and browse the store/fish tanks/DTD. Maybe call and ask someone?

Try booking through that link for WOC Dining Packages. It's a separate page from booking the dining through the restaurant lists on the dining page.

You have to call Rainforest directly to make dinner reservations. They will take them 60 days out. I booked dinner packages for Fantasmic and WOC through the website, not the app. Everything else, I've done through the app though.

THx for the help. Would there be a reason that there are no WOC packages showing for 1st week of Oct on the website? The dates are stopping at the end of Sep yet on the app dinning dates are available up to the 4th Oct already.

I've been looking on my smartphone at the app, to try and book a WOC dessert party and can't seem to find it.
I can see how to make regular dining reservations but not the WOC dessert package.
Can someone help me out?

Try this path:
Click "Dining" across the top toolbar
Find the restaurant on the map for your special experience
Click "Reserve Dining"
Select your party size and date
Choose "Special" from the lunch/dinner/times list

ETA: The weird thing is nothing is coming up as available under "Special," so either nothing is available or there is a glitch. I tried Blue Bayou for Fantasmic and Ariel's Grotto for WOC for a bunch of random dates. For Wine Country Trattoria, I got a "try back later" glitch message.


As for why it's not available yet, I've heard they load the event packages a little after 60 days out sometimes.

The bold lettered info above, is this on a smartphone app?
I can find WOC dessert on my house computer. It's my cell I'm having the issue.

Using the steps above on my cell, I still can't get to WOC dessert reservations.
I'll wait until the morning and try again...

Have you tried going to Disneyland's website from your phone browser and booked it that way? Yes, that pathway was on the app but I think the app is kind of glitchy.

You can't book dining packages via the app, only regular dining. The packages have to be booked through the website. That's probably why you aren't finding it. Try logging into the actual website and it should be there for you!

I wonder if booking special dining through the app is coming soon since the button is in place. I know they just updated the app; it gave me a pop-up message with a deadline. There's also a button for getting Fantasmic fast passes on the app, but I've heard paper is still the only option for the night shows, so maybe that is also coming soon.
