Booking cruise at 11 months-any problems getting the category you need?

We have cruised before on points and had no problem getting a cat. 4, but we also cruised during a slow season. If I were to book a more popular cruise at 11 months (like Christmas or Easter) do you think I'd be able to get my cat. 4? My worst fear is that they will be filled up. I was also wondering what happens in a case like this. Does DCL have a waitlist or do you have to continue calling back every day to see if something has opened up?

I booked a category 4 exactly 11 months out for our 6/29/03 cruise on the Wonder.
Try going to cruise-locators.com and see what is still available on the dates you want.

We went on the Members Cruise. I called the first moninig that they were taking reservations. By the time I got through I was told that the cruise was about 1\2 sold out but we were able to get our requested catagory 5 cabin with verandah.

The only problem was the smoking. People go on the verandahs to smoke so when you go on the verandah you smell smoke. The pool area are also poluted with smoke. They could at least have one smoke free pool.
