Booking Change

Alrighty DVC folks, need your booking wisdom: if I book at one of my home resorts at 11 months for 6 nights, then at 7 months want to change to another resort for 6 nights, but I will need to pull points from my other contract, will I need to cancel my reservation or will it let me change to the new resort and just pull the points from my other contract?

Should work OK if both contracts are in the same membership. Check both contracts before you modify.

If not, I think you have to transfer points or call MS. @Sandisw will know. I think she has had occasions to do that.

If you book during the home resort period and modify it, and choose a different home resort, it should let you switch the order of the contracts.

But, I have had an issue a few times that it stayed locked with the original home resort contract. What I have done is just book it using the current one and gone back once booked and it unlocked it.

Once I did have to call MS but most times it allows you to just switch it as long as you are choosing a different home resort.

They are the same UY and both are mine, just two different home resorts. I don’t know if that info helps….

If you need both, then it won’t be an issue because you just check the other one and it will pull both.

The only potential glitch if it stays locked is that the order can’t be switched around. But sounds like that wont matter.
