Booking back to back

If I book back to back cruises separately (I.e., book one and then book the adjoining one later), do I need to contact Disney or do they automatically know it’s back to back and treat it as such? I’m booking through Costco if it makes a difference. I normally call because I’m using a placeholder but in this case both are blacked out from using a placeholder so I’m wondering if I can just book the second one online (if the VGT price drops… see my other post…). I booked the first one months ago.

I would book online to get the VGT price and then call Costco at your convenience to make sure they are linked.

DCL should know automagically based on the passenger manifests. I'm guessing there is something in there reservation system that flags it since everyone on the first cruise will already have access to the fact that you are B2B.

Yes, DCL will "know" that you're doing a B2B. We booked our first TransAtlantic cruise about 18 months out. Around 3-4 months out we added the Med cruise just prior.

If you want COSTCO to be your TA for a cruise you book directly, you have a limited time to transfer the booking (sorry, feeble brain here can't remember what the time line is).

Now, depending on what the two B2B cruises are, they may not be allowed by the PVSA.

DCL does automatically know, but one time they didn’t have me as a b2b guest in the MDRs on the ship, which was a bit odd. Normally they know and ask your preference for the next cruise!

I just always email them before just to make sure but they do always know anyway.

It's 30 days from purchase to transfer a placeholder to a TA.

Yes, that's odd. Our Head Waiter met with us the second to last night to check in with what we wanted for the next cruise.
