Booking at SS

we are looking at contracts to buy and wondering what the booking categories at SS are.

Can you book the certain areas or is it just a request.

As a example we would want Congress park(I think, the one close to downtown disney). Can you book it or is it just luck of the draw...as in if you book a studio it could be anywhere in SS?

If you can specifically book that area is it hard to get and you need to be a owner of can you get it usually at 7 months?

SSR does not have any view categories. The only booking categories are the room sizes - studio, 1BR, 2BR, GV and treehouse. The areas are by request however since SSR is so large there is a good chance you can get where you'd like to be. And if the room assignor hasn't given you the requested area you can politely ask for them to see if they can meet the request when you check in. We've only stayed at SSR 3 times but have always been able to get rooms in Congress Park although one time it had not been originally assigned but was not a problem to switch.

Still I want to emphasize areas and views will just be a request and thus may not always happen.
