How far out do they allow you to book and do they have specific information --- ie can I try to get a secret porthole room if booking way in advance?

Also, besides Sept, does anyone know of other months they have ended up offering FL resident discounts?

FL resident discounts are generally offered any month that the ships aren't full. Basically, exclude summers and Christmas/Thanksgiving...you can view the current offers at All Seas travel.com (no spaces in the addy). The key is that they are generally only available 3 months or so in advance.

You can rebook while on board for any cruise that they have the price list out for....generally about 18 months.

Are they able to book specific rooms? I was thinking if I were booking far enough out, I'd have enough flexibility in dates to try to get one of the secret porthole rooms.

We were on the 6/19 Western and booked for September 10, 2005. They offered us the room next to the one we were currently occupying.

So, if you know the room #, and it's available, I don't think you'd have any trouble getting it.

Have fun.

Yes, they are able to give room assignments. They first look up what you have on the current ship and try to give you the same thing or something close. If you know what you want, bring all your info with you INCLUDING any internet prices you got. They won't match a discount TA (like allseas), but they mis-quoted us twice. I verified the lower rate when I got home and DCL did correct it for me.
