Booking an ADR with Wrong Number of People

Welcome! Better to keep him on the reservation, just in case he can come. It’s always more worrisome to add a guest than to show up with less. And congrats to him on his new job!

FYI, most restaurants now have check in on the app. It tells you how many people your reservation is for, but you enter how many will be dining yourself. We’re a party of 2 & often have to make an ADR for 4 in order to get the restaurant or time we want. No issues at all. Even CRT prepaid meal, our reservation was for 4, but only 2 of us day of. We were fully refunded for the other 2 spots.

Hi - how did you get the other 2 meals refunded? Did you request in advance by phone or in person? Or did you request when you showed at CRT for your ADR time? I booked 3 for the Rose & Crown Fireworks package, but we are only 2. Nothing was available for 2 this morning. So I'm not sure the best way to successfully have the 3rd refunded.

When we checked in, I told the hostess it would be 2 & not 4. She said no problem, they set the table for 2 instead of 4. I told the server we had adr for 4 but it was only 2. She was totally fine about it. She refunded the other 2 spots when she did the final bill. I got the impression it wasn’t unusual for that to happen. She pointed out the credit on the bill & it showed up on my credit card right away too.

More along the lines of your package… several years ago we had a candlelight processional package booked with our DS & DDIL. The night of the show, DDIL wasn’t feeling well. They came to dinner but weren’t going to stay for the show. Our dinner was also at Rose & Crown. The server allowed them to just order dinner with no show ticket at the regular prices instead of charging the package price. DH & I kept our CP package & got our CP tickets.
