Booking ADR's is there a difference

I have a friend fellow DVCer that says you should book your ADRs through the DVC instead of 407-wdw-dine. He says that you have a better chance of getting what you want. is this true? I don;t think so but you never know

Personally, I think you have a better chance through 407-WDW-DINE. It's open earlier than MS and stays open later than MS.

Good luck getting anything popular if you start out 2 hours later than the rest of the callers, LOL.

Perhaps your friend thinks that Disney sets aside a certain number of ADRs just for DVC members. They don't.

I think that all of the ADRs come out of the same pool so there is no advantage to either option. The only benefit to going through MS, IMO, is that it is a toll-free call.

I never call anymore at the first minute ADR's are available for my vacation. I always wait about a month and then call MS and do everything at once. I have always gotten what I wanted within 10 minutes of the times I wanted. I would call the 407 number when they open only if I wanted something like CRT--we are beyond that for now and until my kids have kids (hopefully at least 10 years away) I won't need to bother with that.
