Booking ADRs for someone else

Hi, I went on-line yesterday and booked some ADRs under one of my confirmation numbers for my mom's vacation, and they sent me e-mail confirmation etc.

I have woken up this morning worrying whether I have done this correctly?? I know that I need to book her ADR's as the reservation is using my points, but should I somehow have put the adr in her name? Or is she going to be OK going up to the podium with a reservation number in my name and explaining that I booked it for her?

Sorry - never done this before and am concerned that they won't let her dine, especially as its thanksgiving and very busy.

Many thanks for any info:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

She can book her own reservations under her own name....it is not tied to whose points were used for the ressie. Just give her the ressie number. She is unable to call member services and add dining plan or change the dates etc.

If your mother is the person going on vacation then the room reservation should be in her name. You also should have been able to make the dining reservations in her name - and your mother could have done that herself. There is nothing to do with the fact that you own the points. If you made the dining reservations in your name then your mother will have to give that name at the podium. Or, you could cancel and rebook the dining in her name.

I am new to all this, and all I did was used the booking ref on the member website and used the link there to redirect to the online dining reservations site, it then automatically put in my details - the only thing I added was a contact phone number.

My mom's names are on the dvc reservation, but she doesn't understand the whole adr booking thing and I said I would do it for her so she didn't miss out on the dining over thanksgiving (mom is used to the disney of the eighties and nineties before adrs became necessary and I can't get her to understand how important it is to book eveything these days, so I have done it for her so that at least she has them!;))

Do I need to redo them, or is she just as fine giving my name at the podium??

Sorry to keep asking, but I know my mum won't ring/go online herself, and I just want to make things as easy as I can for her - many thanks:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

She can use your name when she signs in. I totally understand because I have friends that don't understand the ADR system and I have frequently made their reservations. It should be fine.

thanks ever so much for the reassurance:thumbsup2

I have to ring to make the bookings for the Candlelight packages when they come out as well, and will be ringing for me too - but I guess I can give my name for one booking and also make one for my mom at the same time, if I explain how she doesn't like to do these things!;)
