Booking a stay on the last day of your use year.

Hello. September use year. The booking page is indicating if I book the nights of August 28 with a checkout of September 1 the stay is overlapping use years and I need to do it via telephone with member services.

I'm trying to use 2019 banked points before they expire. Is a stay the night of August 31 the beginning of the next use year? Am I asking this correctly... will the points used on Aug 31 into Sep 1 be from the expiring 2019 points or taken from other points (2020 banked or 2021). Thank you.

The night of August 31, 2022, is in your September 2021 UY, so you should be able to use banked 2020 points for that night. That said, the member website has most definitely not been working properly recently (calculating booking windows incorrectly, the current dues snafu, etc.) so you may indeed need to call. I’m sorry.

Yes, you can use the banked 2020 points for the night of Aug 31st. and the website should allow that booking. The overlap would be if you wanted to stay the night of Sept 1st too. I agree that the website is just completely wonky. This past week I've had it suddenly tell me a January 2022 date was outside my booking window. I'd suggest trying again otherwise it sounds like you'll have to call. I actually haven't had terribly long wait times. Just 5-10 minutes when calling in the afternoon or early evening Eastern time.
