Which building would be considered in a "quieter " section or should I request a room on a higher floor?

My concern is I'm reading a lot of issues with hearing your neighbors

Quiet is almost completely dependent on your neighbors ability to act like they are in a communal situation. To help with this I would request top floor.

All the same...i guess the "quietest" would be by the lake. Its not big so don't worry about the walk.

It's all dependent on the neighbors, not the building.

That being said, 70's, facing the lake, is beautiful and far removed from pool noise.

If you are able to bring a box can with you- that definitely helps at night. Or at nap time :-)

Walls are thin you're gonna hear your neighbors no matter the room location depending on how loud your neighbors are.

I would definitely opt out of paying for a standard pool view or preferred pool view room.

I stick to standard room and then request 50's lake view.

I also bring a stroller fan and use the usb to plug it in at night. It really helps.

I agree with what everyone has said. We were in the 70's last March, building 10 on the top floor. It was extremely quiet and we never heard any of our neighbors. Fast forward to last October when we stayed again. This time in the 90's and still on the top floor. Our neighbors next to us were atrocious. No consideration for anyone around them.

Dh and I use videos on Youtube of box fan noise. It's free and easy to use. Sometimes we use headphones, but lately we've just been playing it at full volume on Dh's phone.

Just request the box fan from Housekeeping and save the space in your luggage for souvenirs!

i was ground floor in the 50s building and i didn't hear anything! i was also there at a time with lots of cheerleaders and softball players. but like others said, it's gonna depend on who your neighbors are.
