booking a DLR area hotel throu PL?

Has anyone ever booked a hotel through price line? DF & I are planning to go to DL on Sep. 11 for about a week. Any tips from anyone who has bidded on travel on when we should start bidding and how much we should bid would be greatly apperciated!

The best place to go for lots of good info is betterbidding dot com. I think there's another site like it but i can't recall the name.

I spent a good amount of time on their hotel boards before doing ANYTHING, even though I was actually using their hotwire boards (they have priceline hotel, priceline car rental, hotwire hotel, and hotwire car rental boards). It's really good to study study study, so that you have a solid idea of basically what hotels you might be bidding on. 3.5 star in a certain area might be x, y, or z hotels, and if you don't want any of those hotels you have to change your area or star level. Study the site for a few days or a week or so (I think I studied for 3 weeks off and on before I really got it, but sometimes I have a really dense head for things that others get easily, LOL), work out the strategy, and then go forth.

Betterbidding is an excellent resource for bidding on priceline. Check out the orange county board and you'll see people posting their recent wins. I believe there is also a thread/board on there that shows you which hotels are available in the area. Ones that I always see, and have bidded on and won myself are the
- Crowne Plaza
- Anaheim Marriott Suites - Just stayed there for $44/night!!!
- Hyatt Regency Orange County - Just booked for next trip, $41/night!
- Sheraton ...something rather

Those are the 3.5 star hotels. Start low and read all the tips on how you can rebid without waiting the usual 24 hours. Hope this helps!
