Booking a Costco Disneyland package with Disney Visa question

Hey there everyone. I have a quick question for someone:

If you book a Costco Disneyland package with a Disney Visa card, do you still get 6 months at 0% interest? Or do you only get that deal if you book DIRECTLY with Disney.

(I'm wondering about this because when you book a Costco Disneyland package, in reality you are directed to a Disney site to book the package, and I was wondering if that qualifies for the 6 months at 0% interest Disney Visa perk, if that makes sense.)

We are leaving for DL in 7 days...yippee!! We booked through Costco last month and I just checked my chase statement and the trip does qualify for the 6 months, zero interest...YEAH! Have a great and magical trip!

Thanks for the info DisneyloverinWA.

Hey, you have a WONDERFUL trip too.....just a few more days now! :woohoo::yay::woohoo:

Capri,
Yes it does! We booked our previous trip in May with a Costco package (to get the free character meal!) and used our Disney Visa. We did get the 6 months 0% financing. Be sure to mention it to the Costco travel agent when booking it!

Thanks for this information. I was just going to book it online.....is that not the way to go if I want to get the 6 months at 0% financing deal?

Thanks for the info. I'll have to keep it in mind if we ever book through Costco and need to finance a trip.

The 6 months at 0% financing SHOULD happen automatically when you pay with the card. I am not sure why I called, but I did for some reason. :)
If you are putting a deposit down, the 6 months will start for the deposit first; and then the 6 months on the remaining balance will start when that is paid. Does that make sense? LOL!

Yes, that makes sense.....I think. :rotfl:

Becci, can I ask what exactly comes with the travel package/docs? Do you get actual park hoppers when the package is sent to you, or just park hopper vouchers? What about for the character breakfast......are vouchers included for that or something else?

(For some reason, I can't remember this myself, even though I've book several packages before.......brain drain I guess. :goodvibes)

Yes, you actually get the tickets - not vouchers. Also everything else that is usually included in packages (early Toontown entry - can't remember what that is called!:), luggage tags, coupon book, priority seating at shows in DCA, etc.)
With Costco you also get a $20 Disney Gift Card and vouchers for a character breakfast. They list on the vouchers which meals you can use them for (Breakfast only - Goofy's, Minnies, Storyteller's or Lilo's). You make your own PS and then turn in the vouchers when checking in at the character meal. Tip and tax included.
We did the package in May since our AP's had expired last March. We then upgraded to AP's while there!:thumbsup2
HTH! Have you decided when to go?

That helps a bunch Becci - thanks so much! :thumbsup2

I think we're going to go the first week of September. The only bummer part is that I have an AP and therfore won't need a park hopper ticket, so I'm not sure what to do with the extra 5 day park hopper that would come with our package. :confused3

Maybe we won't book a package because of that. Maybe I'll just book with the HOJO and we'll pay for hoppers (for my hubby and kids) and a character breakfast seperately. But the 5 for 3 deal at the Paradise Pier is a good deal......kind of hard to pass up. But I'll pass on it if I have to. Afterall, we really like the HOJO too, so we wouldn't be all that disappointed, but it is fun to stay on property from time to time.

You are welcome!
Yes the 5 for 3 deal is great. But if you don't need a ticket then it probably isn't worth it. Unless you can sell the ticket?
We stayed at the PPH and got a great deal.:thumbsup2 But we also love HOJO! We're going Sept 26-30th and staying at HOJO's new pirates suite!:cool1:

I know that, if you go through Disney, you can still get the 5 for 3 without tickets if everyone in your party has APs. You have to give them everyone's AP numbers, but they will do a "ticketless" package for you. I don't know if Costco will do this or not. It might be worth it to call Costco and WDTC. We had it booked this way at the DLH until I found a "too good to pass up" AP rate for PPH concierge.

Good luck!!!

Does the hopper have an expiration date? You could always save it and apply it to your AP renewal.

Or you could sell it.:rolleyes1
