Just booked Poly Lagoon View Concierge for July. It's been 13 years since I vacationed at the Poly. I stayed LV Concierge that time too but it was in Tahiti (Moorea, I believe at the time) and the concierge lounge was a small office to the left when you entered the GCH. I'm a huge fan of YC concierge and decided to give Poly a try again. Tell me I won't be disappointed. Is the view from Hawaii as good as it was from Tahiti?

We just returned from a stay at Poly CL, and it was fantastic!! We had room #2502, and though it did not have a balcony, it was a great room, the view couln't have been better! The lounge was right next door, and it was beautiful as well. We split our stay with AKL, and when it was time to leave, we didn't want to go! But, AKL was wonderful, too, our favorite resort!::yes::

We have stayed LV concierge for a few years in a row until last summer but we will be returning this July. I have stayed in Moorea (now Tahiti) and the views in Hawaii are as good if not better. The rooms are slightly smaller in Hawaii (402 sq ft) but still larger than most WDW resort rooms. Since Hawaii is back open you can now get a non-smoking room on the 3rd floor with a balcony. I prefer the 1st floor with the patio myself. You can visit my pages for pictures and info. You will see photos of the views from Hawaii.

You will not be disappointed. The Poly lounge is the only one I've ever been in. But I have read a lot about all of the others (because we are trying to figure out which resort concierge to try). The Poly's sounds head and shoulder's above the rest.

Tikiman,
I was just visiting your website and sent you an e-mail asking about the floors!! You must have read my mind.:bounce: I was thinking the first floor too. How far away is the lounge. Do you recommend one end of the building to the other. I love your website. You can tell you really love the Polynesian. I've read in a couple of places about having trouble with check-in. Have you ever had these problems? Thanks!!

I got your email and just replied. The building is not that long so I would not worry too much about which end you are on. The lounge and concierge desks are at the west end where room X501 starts on the lagoon side. You can see the map on my Hawaii page with the room numbers.

Never heard of problems at check in at conceirge. You don't check in at the lobby . They take you to your room and you check in when you are ready.

Aloha

Steve

Tikiman - Just wanted you to know, Aida in IPO says they are really looking forward to you and your wife's return this July!! She says you have really done wonders for the resort!:wave2:

I agree, Steve has definately helped send business to the Poly!
His web site and the info supplied has made me and my family- Poly fans.( they let me know that it is the only place they want to stay when we go back). Steve, I hope you and the Mrs. have a GREAT trip!!!!!
Thanks for everything you do for us!
It's also nice to hear that the Poly appreciates your work too!

3 cheers for Steve!!! He has certainly helped me out tremendously with his Website and email responses. He should get free room and board for life for him and his family for all he does for the Poly... We are heading down to the Poly this June for 10 days at Garden View Concierge. It will be my first time at the Poly but my wife stayed there 20 years ago and still remembers how wonderful it was.

Mahalo!
