Booked one day on site to get magic band/fast pass plus for a week

Using an RCI time share at High Point World Resort just outside Disney World but wanted a Magic Band and the ability to try Fast Pass plus so we booked one night at Caribbean Beach. Looks like we can book Fast Passes for the next week because we are staying one night. Has anyone else tried this yet?
