Now that my ticker is slowly drawing to a close - 1 month and 11 days at time of posting - my thoughts turned to food ..... what a surprise ..... not. ;)

So today I phoned and booked Inventions Sunday Brunch (Italian theme), Cape Cod for Monday evening, Parkside Diner for Tuesday evening and Agrabah Cafe for Wednesday lunchtime.

We haven't deliberately chosen all buffet meals but decided we'd eat at new restaurants on this trip and it just turned out that way. It'll make life easy for us as we have half-board plus vouchers so will use these at the three buffets and pay out of pocket for the Brunch.

Inventions isn't new to us but their Sunday Brunch is :thumbsup2 and it's four years since we ate at Agrabah so that doesn't really count. :rotfl: Cape Cod is because we're staying at the Newport Bay ..... and Parkside Diner because of the great reviews by Ms Poppins and DLPdaft.

Really looking forward to our holiday now. :dance3:

Sounds good Elaine :thumbsup2 We have never tried Parkside diner or Agrabah and infact although we have eaten at inventions a few times never for Sunday brunch :) You're kinda making me wish I had been more adventurous with our meals and tried somewhere new.......I think because we are there such a short time I just wanted to book somewhere that i was really confident with so we have booked Blue lagoon for Friday and walts :goodvibes for Saturday.

When we ate at Cape Cod several years ago now, our family had very mixed feelings about it. My husband and I loved it as did two of our children but then we love seafood and the buffet had a tremendous amount of it......our youngest loved it because they had rocket lollies in the pudding selection :rotfl2:. The staff were great and the view and setting are lovely....hope you enjoy it :)

We had a good meal at the Parkside in May. No spuds bar hash browns, which I love but DH not so much. The turkey was gorgeous too, it was in a lovely gravy.
Would love to hear about Cape Cod when you return and Agrabah is on my to do list for January. Not even mentioning Inventions brunch because we always stay midweek and as DD would say im "so jelly".

Not at all! Walt's is my favourite restaurant and Blue Lagoon comes a very close second ..... and we ate at both last year so this is why I was determined to choose somewhere we've not eaten before ..... and you can't really go wrong with buffets ..... but I'm going to find it really hard walking past Walt's and not eating there this trip.

Oooooh you've just reminded me I can book ours now too :cool1:

We'll be doing inventions Sunday Brunch again and Walts, I just can't not do Walts! Good on you trying somewhere different we have eaten the same places pretty much every trip

I want to try some of the other hotel restaurants too so will be holding out to see what you think :thumbsup2

Lovely choices there Elaine :thumbsup2

Parkside food was the only place we've eaten that everyone was happy, could easily have spent a few hours in there. My only grip is the booth seating, which can be a bit of a pain with everyone wanting to get up and down at different times, but it wouldn't put me off going back.

Like the sound of Agrabah and always seem to forget about it.
