I'm usually thrilled about booking our WDW flights, especially since I've paid under 200 RT for the past few years. This time, I'm just stressed. All of the airlines I check have stayed at the same 219 RT fare Sept for weeks. I figured if SW came out with low fares today, the other carriers would follow. So much for that idea... So, I figured that since the SW fares came out high, many DIS'ers going during free dining would jump to book with the bigger carriers, like Jetblue. So, I jumped. But did I jump the gun? Is 99. each way from JFK a decent deal?

I think $99. ea. way is decent, but knowing JB and JFK, they will probably come down. Keep and eye out and call JB hen they do.

I booked my fares for August as soon as I could. I got $124 pp non-stop from Boston to MCO. Then got $154 pp non-stop from Tampa to Boston. I booked back as soon as they came out. Not only have the fares not gone down, they are up to $149 to MCO and to $159 to Boston!!! I'm really hoping they go down so I can get a credit for my flight in Dec!!

I think flying from the Northeast, anything in the neighborhood of $200-$240 is a decent deal. OP--I would have done the same thing you did.

Don't stress! Anything $200 or below r/t from NY is good. Like another poster said, keep checking the fares...if they go down, call for a credit right away. Then you'll have a head start on yr next trip to WDW. Enjoy!

Can you really do that?
Once the tickets are booked aren't you stuck with it?
We Are flying from Portland Maine to MCO. We already bought our tickets for Feb.2008. We paid $239.(United) That is a great price! But if we find something better aren't we just out of luck.:confused3

Not with Jet Blue and south west you get a credit. I am not sure if Air Tran also does it.

OP, I had this same question, I have not seen anything go below $89 flying out of NY at all since I have been watching for Sept. and I dont want to go to NJ or phil. to get a good deal for my flight back home.

i think lowest i've seen from JFK-MCO is $59 each way. I booked this upcoming trip (in 3 weeks) about 6 weeks out or so and they were $89 each way. but did drop to $79 for a period of time, so I got a credit for that (always keep checking the rates - you can just pull up the flight costs and hit F5 to refresh if you keep the window open).

$99 each way is a little more than $200 rt with taxes and all, but i'd say it's a fair price. but keep your eyes on it.
