hi ive book this hotel for seven nights in august just wondering if anyone else has stayed there ant any good tips?one silly thing i was wondering do they give you towels, also are there any shops local with decent food fruit milk tea vbags etc

I havent stayed at Cheyenne but I can tell you they do give you towels.
There is a small shop on site where you can buy souvenirs and basics such as small cartons of milk but it is usually cheaper to get them from the Esso garage across the 'river' next to Santa Fe Hotel or from the railway station next to the Park entrance. They both stock a good range of things.
There is also a large supermarket- Auchan- one stop down by train or a few minutes away by car at Val d'Europe shopping Centre

ooh thanks thats good to know! is the train very expensive?how often does it go sorry for all the question just v exciting and need to make sure i know a few things1

Sorry I dont know as Ive never used it- we always drive to DLP so have the car to go to the supermarket. Im sure someone else will be able to tell you though. I think they are regular though.

Depending how much you want though it may be just as easy to get things from the station/Esso garage

We always take tea bags with us and take a flask to fill with milk- it then keeps fresh for at least a day as there are no fridges to keep it in. Other people have kept it on window sills or in the sink filled with ice

I recently came back form the Cheyenne and we really liked our stay there. Seriously don't bother packing towels, you won't need them, they provide them fresh each day, my husband insisted on bringing our own and we never used them and ended up with heavier fuller cases (much needed souvenir space!)
The hotel is laid out as a series of different named blocks so it it easy to find where you are going and you won't get lost, which I have heard some people who have been staying at the bigger hotels like newport bay and sequoia lodge do. They do pony rides from 8.30-12.00, but remember to buy the ticket from the hotel shop before hand. I think it was 5 or 8 Euros. Take advantage of the characters that come between 8.30-12.00 also. We found seeing them at 8.30 was really quiet, maybe just after breakfast. They have 'Forte Apache' which is a good outdoor play area, and some teepees too. While we were there we borrowed a hairdryer and plug adapters for our phone chargers. You have to leave a deposit of around 15E which you get back when you return it.
We really enjoyed our stay there, the theming was lovely, the staff are great too.
Regarding milk, the milk they sell is UHT, so if you don't like that stuff you're better off trying one of the other places suggested, though we never did ourselves.
Hope that helps!

hi thanks what are the rooms like bearing in mind we have three children so will be also a cot

We have stayed here with 2 kids and an infant in the cot and managed fine.
Eldest DD was in top bunk as DS was only 4 so to little we felt he was to little to be up the stairs :)

hi thanks what was the cot like?my dd will be 18 months is it very strudy also what are the sheets like or shall i take my own sorry one more question what is there for breakfast i have three very picky children!

We just got back (expect a trip report later this week).

We stayed at Hotel Cheynne and I was really impressed. However, our room was in Jesse James which is right next to the outdoor seating area of the Chuck Wagon (our window looked directly onto it) and it was VERY noisey. We had to sleep with the windows closed and it was very hot last week at DLP. Except on Friday, when it rained... a lot!

The walk to the garage through Santa Fe is so easy, as is the walk into the park. We didn't use the shuttle service once.

Cot was a travel cot, which DD was well used to. We took own blanket as we thought this would help getting her to sleep.

Breakfast is cereal, croissants, pan o chocolate, milk, tea, coffee, orange juice, ham and cheese. You can pay extra for cooked breakfast.

hi thats ok i was going to do the sane as you regarding taking a blanket how old is your little one!i wa shoping it was going to be a travel cot can u pack it away for more room i take it is fabric type and not wood?thats a relief about beakfast im syre they will eat something then!im glad you had a good time how long did you go for?we are going for seven nights and the children are soooooooooooo excitied

did the ceiling fans not help what was breaky like

They helped a little, they circulate what air there is in the room. So if the air is warm...

We left the windows open all day when we were out. They only open part way so there is nothing to worry about.

The breakfasts are as Cyrano said. Just expect a bit of a free-for-all.

is it not possible to pay extra for a fridge esp as we are going in aug its going to be hot?

I've not come across this before, but in the higher star hotels some rooms are provided with a fridge. From memory it is more a chiller for drinks so not sure that it would really keep foodstuffs cold :)
