Booked Fall Fantasy cruise on points - will I be charged $75 to upgrade cabin????

I originally booked my cruise for Nov. and got a Cat. 10 - pts. =129. When I heard about the Fall Fantasy special, I called MS and they changed my points to 106. I thought great! Yesterday, I received my Vac. Magic and saw Cat. 8-9 was only 114 points plus $100 on-board credit. Gee, for only 8 more pts., I'd rather have an outside cabin. Will I be charged to change cabins? I would hope not!!! If so, shouldn't MS have said "you know for 16 more points (which I do have in my acct.), you could get an outside cabin"?

We did something similar.
We chaged rm cat, once the Fall Fantasy deal kicked in... and we were not charged the $75 change fee.
I thought it was because under the Fall Fantasy deal the new cat we moved to was now the same number of points as the old one.
(does this make sense? )

Since you are changing and there is a point difference there might be a fee. But, I agree with Cora, plead your case.

I called and they said to change cabin categories it is $75. They said no one probably mentioned about only 16 more pts. for outside cabin because there would have been a charge. I can paying a fee to change dates, but to change a cabin, that doesn't make sense to me.

I paid an additional fee last November to change cabins from inside to outside. It was still worth it to me, since I decided I had to have a verandah!
