I booked the Dolphin today for my family's trip in January. I have a few questions:

(1) I booked Club level for $204 per night with a Govt. discount
(my DH is a Full-time firefighter). I thought this was a good price and grabbed it. Is it actually a good deal? Or could I have done better with an AP?

(2) how does Club level at the Dolphin compare to Concierge at the Beach Club? We just did BC Concierge at the beginning of September and would like to know if they are comparable.

(3) Has anyone had experience with Camp Dolphin?

(4) Do any of the Club Level rooms have balconies?

(5) Do the rooms at the Dolphin have the "Heavenly Beds" or is that only at the Swan?

and last question...

(6) Do they charge the "resort fee" for the Club Level rooms?

Thank you for your help, I have read conflicting info about the Dolphin and thought I would go straight to the experts!!!

1) Sounds like a pretty good deal to me, but I don't know what the AP rate would be.....................
2) Don't know, sorry!
3) ditto #2
4) The club rooms do not have balconies. They are on higher floors (12th maybe 14th or so??) with nice views, but the balconies are on the "fingers" --wings-- of the building, up to 9th floor. But I have heard of some DISers getting balcony rooms with club level privileges.........
5) Swan is completely renovated with all Westin resort trademark "heavenly" beds with white bedding. Dolphin renovations are underway...renovated rooms have new beds....it is a Sheraton so they are not calling them "heavenly bed" but they are thought to be equivalent quality mattresses. I actually saw a heavenly bed tag on my king mattress in a NON-renovated room at the Dolphin in June.
6)Never stayed in club so can't help you there!

I'm sure there will be others coming along to address some of the things I couldn't. I just want to say I don't think you'll regret your decision to stay there!! :)

bumping in hopes that someone else can answer some of the questions :)

As far as I know, the $10 resort fee is charged on ALL rooms, including Club Level. It is on my Confirmation card fror next year and we are club. The Resort Fee includes unlimited health club useages, in-room coffee, and a weekday newspaper delivery. It used to be an hour of local phone usage but that is not listed on the card so I don't know if that is still part of it.

Club Level at the Dolphin is not as extensive as concierge level at the BC. They do serve a nice continental breakfest consisting of cereals, yogurt, fruit, pastry, muffins, bagels, coffee, tea, etc from 7a-10a. They open again 5p-7p for snacks and one hot hordurve. They have beverages 7p-9p. You do not have to stay on the Club floor if you have CL. You can stay on another floor with a balcony and still access CL. The East wing is very nice because of the Epcot view. The renovations are up to the 6th floor at this time. Yes, they are getting Heavenly Beds at the Dolphin. It is great that people are reporting Heavenly matteresses in NONrenovated rooms as the Dolphin. There has been some discussion on these boards that the Dolphin was getting Sweet Sleepers instead. I did call the Dolphin and was told they are definatly getting Heavenly Beds. It is a great resort and I'm sure you will LOVE the location. We will be there in Dec/Jan for 15 nights and have requested a renovated Jr. Suite on the East wing.

The Swan and the Dolphin are getting the exact same beds...and they are very nice!

I booked the Dolphin for $111 on Hotwire. It has gone before on Hotwire for as little as $65.
What are your dates?
I would check with Hotwire and see if this hotel comes up.
The Dolphin normally looks like this.
4 stars
Restaraunt
Pool
Fitness
Buisness
Golf
Tennis
Laundry
If there are ammenities that are added(It does not have a spa icon)...it is not the Dolphin or Swan.
Might be worth checking out, even if you got the $111, that is almost a $100 savings....that is alot of snacks! :)
