so surprised that I have not gotten a leter from concierge staff at CR for my upcoming stay. Is this right?

when I stayed at poly concierge, got letter and phone # to call for any PS or any help in making arrangements

does the poly only offer that service?

You should get one. Everytime I ever stayed there I did. Perhaps you should call if you'll be there within the next 60 days or so.

I agree with DVCconvert, I would call or email them and see what's going on, heer is the email link

wdw.contemporary.concierge@disney.com

When you email them, make sure you put your arrival date in the note so they can look up your record...

Good Luck!

I recently switched from a Tower room to Club level. I didn't receive a letter, but I used the email contact information in the above post, and the concierge staff has been excellent in communicating with me. Make sure you check out the concierge FAQ thread - I got lots of great information from it :)

Unfortunately, Disney just doesn't seem to have one set of guidelines that are followed for all their concierge pre-planning departments. It seems like it all depends on where you stay, as to what kind of assistance and materials you receive. Our first GF SL experience was many years ago and we had absolutely no idea what that to expect. I never got a phone call or anything. Just checked in and got escorted to the CM who explained it all to us. The next time, I got called at about 30 days out. After that, whenever I book concierge, I get their contact information and I initiate the introductions. Even then, we've gotten great assistance from the GF staff, but I was wowed by the YC department who sent out a huge packet complete with park maps, recreation guides, entertainment and resort info, in addition to a very nice pre-planning questionnaire.

I would definitely give them a call, or drop an e-mail.

Very true Tammi.. you would think that after all these years Disney would try to come up with a set of guidelines that each of the pre-planning offices could follow..

When we did our concierge stays a couple of years ago we received no advance contact from either resort. We didn't really receive any assistance (or offers of assistance) when we were there either (not that we needed any). It wasn't at all what we were expecting. There was no separate check-in and we never saw anybody manning the concierge desks during those times. Maybe all concierge staff was on strike during our week?!?
