Today is the day its time to get serious, writing a to do list today. Also finally pulled out the suitcase and am going to start laying some clothes out in the spare room - trying to work out what to take or not to take. Aiming for 15kg max

Oh also I am torn at the moment, when I am in New Orleans for the rock boat departure I have an option to sign up for a service project to help rebuild for Hurricane Katrina. Part of me thinks it will be an amazing thing to do, but then I don't want to miss out on seeing New Orleans since I don't know when I will be back.

I will have 1 1/2 days in New Orleans apart from that day, but I just dont know any input appreciated

Gosh, it's a hard one isn't it. I would see if doing a half day thing somewhere to help is possible. That would then give you 2 whole days of New Orleans perhaps?

I am leaning more towards volunteering just waiting to hear what my friends are doing that I am sharing the cabin with on the boat.
It also goes with my one word - my type of of new years resolution choosing one word to help guide me through the year- I choose two but fearless and growth, I think it will help me with internal person growth doing something that will help others so much more.

I also agree that it is so sad that some people are still without their homes

Need some help from those who have traveled already
My flight from Sydney gets into LAX at 9:30am, what time is reasonable to book my onward flight to San Fran - I currently have a 3:30 flight but was hoping to move it earlier choices are
12:20 or 1:40 do you think either of these will be ok?

Anne - If you can get on the 12.20 pm flight, go for it. That's 3 hours between arrival and departure. They normally like 2 hours in LAX. I'm pretty sure that when we fly MLB/LAX to SFO that we book ourselves on the 12.20 pm flight.

I think the holiday bug has finally kicked in. I have been tossing and turning and not being able to get comfy or to sleep even though I am so tired.

2 weeks to go!!

I booked the last of my accommodation today so it means everything is officially sorted!! Well except those pesky transfers which I am certain will sort themselves out if I hope and wish long enough.

On the upside the not sleep may help me get ready for US time... may not help so much at work at 8am in the morning
