Booked at Pop; might switch to WL or Polynesian; "new" room questions!

Ok, so my DH is making me crazy, but in a good way. lol He's thinking maybe we should switch to either the Wilderness Lodge or the Polynesian, for our Fall Get-Away the end of October! Not sure if we will do a regular room or concierge room, though.

I haven't been paying much attention to the new-room updates for either resort. Can someone please tell me which, if any, rooms will be the "new" rooms at the WL and Polynesian, by the end of October? I believe that the Hawaii building (concierge) at the Polynesian will be done by then. Is this correct? Have they started the new rooms at the WL yet? How about the concierge floor?

I don't know the answer to your questions, but where did you find out about the new rooms at the WL? We were booked there for Dec. then switched to VWL instead, but the WL is our favorite resort, I'd love it if they had some work done on the rooms.

I thought I read about this somewhere, earlier this summer. I could be wrong, thought I'd ask here!

The Hawaii building at the Polynesian should be renovated and complete by October 11th. That building, unlike the others, is on a strict contractor schedule - according to several CM's. Because it is slated to be down completely, they are being very firm with the dates as no other concierge service will be offrered while it is out of commision. As far as other buildings being renovated, it's really anyone's guess. They were supposed to be done with Rapa Nui by now, but due to an error in Disney's order from its supplier, the new beds and lights have not arrived. I would bet that this may be the first building done, however. Fiji seems to be coming in a close second, but you certainly couldn't count on anything to be 'definitely' finished, other than Hawaii.

Don't have any info on WL.

I also heard that WL was getting a rehab (new carpets, new concierge...)

As for the Poly we'll be staying there at the end of this month and have our fingers crossed that we'll get Fiji. I hope hope hope it will be ready by the 29th!
