booked art of animation- 1st "value" experience will we like it???

booked 1 week at art of animation and 1 week at SSR on dvc points. Its our first time at a value resort but the bright and colourful look of the art of animation really appealed to me as I think DD (2 1/2 when we go) will love it.
we are in the little mermaid standard room.

we usually stay at the dvc places so AKL, BCV, BLT etc
what do you think, will we be ok/like it???

We really loved it there. It was a bit of a hike to LM, but if you are prepared for that, it's not bad at all. It's just a fun resort and very "Disney". Your daughter will like it there, for sure.

I like it there and I primarily stay at DVC resorts. BUT....there are some things you are going to have to keep in mind.
The room is going to be much smaller than you are used to. There is only one sink....this annoys me more than anything. Seems I've been spoiled by those double sink vanities in other spots.
The walks to the room are all outside, in the sun or rain. And LM rooms are a fair distance. Now, the rooms aren't further than some villas and rooms I've had at other resorts, but when you are walking in the heat of the summer, in the sun? It just seems longer.

But its a great resort...very cheery and colorful. the theming is incredible.

Of course you're going to like it! It's Disney!!
Some things to remember. You're simply not going to have as much space in your room. If you're used to staying in Deluxe resort rooms, just remember that your bed will be smaller, you will only have one sink, etc.
However, if you're staying there for the theming you won't be disappointed. We stayed here in Dec. & my kids (4 & 3 at the time) LOVED it. And so did I. The pools are awesome. The rooms were bright & clean.....must I go on?
