Booked 1BR @ BWV, wondering about best room choice?

This is our first vacation as a DVC owner - we're thrilled; we booked a 1BR at BWV for 8/26-9/2, boardwalk view; I've read many things about views, noise, floor level, balcony issues, etc.

We would like a room with a fireworks view, with limited noise later in the evening (we have a 9YO DS and 8YO DD... is that possible or should we have booked a standard view room?

limited noise in the evening with a BW view?

the noise at night was not so bad - if you close the balcony doors - but the next morning that bell on the boats got me up every morning.

would always pick standard - most of it is quieter - except near the lobby or elevators.

The only time I had a noise issue was when I was on the second floor. I always request top floor, less noise. Most of the time we get 3 or 4.

Definitely not Boardwalk view if you want limited noise at night. Boardwalk IMO will have most noise. I would go with pool view, while the main pool can be noisy during the day its pretty quiet. I like the view facing the clown slide being able to sit on the balcony and watch below or view the boats on their way to DHS. Personally I'm not a fan of " standard view' (I know there are some that love it) unless you are trying to save points. I'd rather not over look parking lot and RAC luggage noise.
