I once read a thread on here about a children's book that is written in storybook form about visiting Disney World. Does anyone remember the title to that book?:confused3

The only one I know of is "Kingdom Keepers" by Ridley Scott. It is a chapter about a bunch of kids who battle the Disney villians in MK. It is not really a book for little children.

The one that we have is "Meet Me In The Magic Kingdom", written by Kathy Jakobsen copywrighten in 1995 by Disney Press. It is a story about an extended family that meets in the Magic kingdom. I don't know if this is the one you mentioned, but I also would like to know about others.

Thank you all. I was trying to think of something for a Christmas gift that would "inspire" pixiedust: a younger group for our upcoming magical gathering in '09.:cheer2:

I don't think I'd get Kingdom Keepers for a young crowd.....in a nutshell some kids are chosen to be "virtual" people at WDW...something goes haywire and when these kids go to sleep they are transported to WDW after the park has closed. The villians are trying to take over WDW and the kids go through many adventures trying to save WDW. Kinda a cool story, but they also go through some rather spooky peril.....the one that bothered my daughter was the inability to sleep, lol.

If you're trying to get them excited about Disney, there are several ways I could think of doing that.....get them the 2008 guidebooks, there are some written especially for kids, so that they can start planning what rides they want to go on, what shows they want to see, etc. By getting the 2008's (which should mostly be out by Christmas time) there is less chance that something won't be showing anymore or something.

Get them a subscription to Disney Adventure....I realize it's not truly about a trip to WDW, but everytime my girls get that (or the Disney Princess magazine, definitely a girls only) they would wish we could go back to Disneyland....in fact their constant "wishing" is what made me decide to start thinking about a trip to WDW. It's a lot of advertising for Disney products, but there are some fun articles about what's going on in the Disney empire movie, music and such wise.

When I was planning our first trip to Disneyland in 2005, I created a bunch of worksheets, games, and the like and started adding them into the girls schoolwork (we homeschool) each week. At first they thought it was just a fun activity, then they started wondering why suddenly Cinderella was everywhere, lol. If these are for YOUR kids, you could just leave these out each week for them to do....if the gift is for someone else's kids, put them all together in a cool Disney binder (which should be easy to find NOW....but don't wait too long, back to school stuff will disappear in a month). Other back to school supplies ala Disney are also available, markers, pencils, crayons, and everything else you could think of, but again, get it now, as it will all disappear by later September.
