Hello,

Our travel dates are 4-15 Nov, 2 adults, 1 child and a baby. Travel agency have quoted just under $4.9k for 11 nights (6 nights at the Poly and 6 nights at the GF) with 8 day park hoppers.

Is this good? Should we wait until nearer the time and see if other discounts are available?

We are first timers so haven't a clue!

Thanks!

I just checked the cost of the Polynesian - standard room for those nights and a room only without tickets was $5,992.90. When you add 8 day park hoppers the price goes to $7,283.63. If a 30% room discount was available for those dates and that room type at that resort, then your cost would be around $5,500. That doesn't even consider the fact that the Grand Floridian is usually more expensive than the Poly. So, in short, it looks like your agency deal might be good. :) A 30% room only discount is usually the best discount available to the general public for a deluxe resort.

Just find out if the agency has any special cancellation requirements, then book it and keep an eye out for a better deal.

Great price! I just priced out Grand Floridian for 11/10 - 11/16 at regular rate with 8-day park hoppers for 2 adults, 1 child, 1 infant and it's $5,047.19. So, with the price you were quoted, you are basically getting Poly for free! I would book it! As PP's have said, just take a look at cancellation policy and keep an eye out for any room only discounts, however even a 30% room only discount probably won't beat that price.

Remember if you can pay up front, if you top a Disney discount with a Orbitz or Travelocity discount, it could save you more. Just buy tickets separately.

I used the magic for less travel agency. It was free to use and when new deals were released after I booked they automatically got the deal for me. I didn't even have to monitor for them. I recieved an email stating that the discount was applied how much I saved.
